
Pharmacy Technician II - PT - Days/Evenings - Up to $2,500 Sign on Bonus - MRHS

Summary
The registered and certified pharmacy technician II works under the direct supervision of licensed pharmacists to provide distributive pharmacy services and support to the pharmacy department. Additionally, provides a high level of assistance in distribution, dispensing, and compounding of sterile and non‑sterile medications, and related supplies in compliance with accreditation, legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.
This position may be eligible for a sign‑on bonus of up to $5,000, contingent upon the applicant's qualifications and subject to certain eligibility requirements. Candidates must possess prior inpatient work experience to qualify for the sign‑on bonus.
Responsibilities
Assisting with orientation and training of new pharmacy technicians and students.
Maintaining and supporting medication distribution systems and distribution channels, including automated dispensing cabinets, code carts, trays and kits.
Completing other responsibilities as assigned in support of pharmacy operations and within the pharmacy technician scope of practice.
Assisting with customer service and patient needs, including answering telephones, managing work queues and completing medication histories.
Preparing non‑sterile compounded medications, including hazardous medications, and cross‑training in more advanced functions when deemed appropriate.
Preparing, filling, receiving, delivering, stocking and restocking medication inventory and supplies for the pharmacy department and drug storage areas. Repacking bulk medications.
Processing medication charges/credits when applicable.
Performing prescription data entry in the pharmacy system when applicable.
