HRIS Analyst Workday

Position Summary
We are looking for an HRIS Analyst to join our HR team and play a key role in the implementation, optimization and ongoing maintenance of Workday HCM. In this role, you will support implementation activities, ensure data integrity, enhance system functionality, and deliver actionable people insights. You will partner with HR, IT, and other internal stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, streamline processes, and elevate the overall user experience across HR technology platforms.

Position Details

Support the successful implementation, launch, and post-go-live stabilization of HR technology initiatives

Serve as subject matter expert in HR technology by identifying process and system gaps, recommending improvements, and partnering with IT to implement technology focused solutions that enable operational excellence

Administer and support HR systems, including user access, uploads, audits, and troubleshooting

Update and maintain relevant documentation, including business requirements, process maps, data flows, controls, and security/privacy considerations

Configure and maintain HR platforms within established change management framework to align with evolving business needs, including workflows, forms, fields, rules, and security

Develop and deliver HR reports, dashboards, and metrics to support HR and business objectives, such as headcount, turnover, retention, performance, compensation, benefits, and compliance.

Enable adoption, change readiness, and operational efficiency for HR technology by supporting training, communications, and role-based job aids

Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations, as well as best practices for data management and governance

Research emerging HR technology trends and capabilities to assess their potential value for Southland

Collaborate with HR and IT partners to perform system upgrades, deploy system enhancements, design and validate integrations, and coordinate end-user testing

Participate in managing third-party vendor relationships to ensure Southland maximizes the value of its HR technology investments

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; concentration in Business, Human Resources, and/or Technology discipline preferred.

2-4 years of experience managing enterprise HR technology platforms

2 years of experience with Workday Core HCM and/or Recruiting administration, configuration, integrations and reporting

Experience supporting a Workday HCM Phase 1 implementation including data conversion and test management

Strong working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices, and how they relate to HR technology and data.

Hands‑on experience leading system implementations and ensuring integration with existing systems.

Proven ability to derive actionable insights from HR data and effectively summarize to drive business decisions

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders and levels of management.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft suite, including Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, and Power Automate

Experience with HR AI technology preferred

Experience with SQL is a plus
