
Molding Process Technician

Aptar is seeking a Molding Process Technician based in Congers, NY. The primary function of the Molding Process Technician is to operate injection molding equipment in order to successfully meet production demands and quality standards.
Responsibilities
Perform set‑up of molds for all mold changes and set up robots and other equipment as required
Assist in preventative maintenance and repair of molding machines and peripherals (robots, grinder, mixer, loaders)
Perform cleaning of the machines and the production area
Maintain a safe work environment following company safety and ISO standards
Ensure molded components meet all product quality criteria, including dimensional criteria
Communicate to supervisor and other technicians and document all technical information and issues
Maintain records, files and other documentation pertinent for a cGMP environment
Qualifications
2 or more years of experience working with plastic injection molding equipment, including machine adjustment, mold installation and removal
Detail oriented
Strong mechanical aptitude and skills
Preferred: familiarity with automation (6/3 robotics)
General knowledge of plastic materials and processes
Preferred: ability to work different work shifts
Ability to work and operate machinery in a clean room environment
Physically capable of required work, including use of manual dexterity, hand coordination, and hand tools; able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
Understands and practices safe working procedures and observes safety rules and policies

Compensation and Base Annual Pay
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is USD $36.00 to USD $45.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as the final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
