Job Details

We are a family‑owned business that manufactures a diverse and expanding range of high‑quality human and pet food products.
We seek a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller with food manufacturing experience to serve as the key financial advisor to the plant management team.
Responsibilities

Direct and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting functions of the plant.
Prepare and present monthly financial reports, including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division, and weekly cash flow by division.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met, including taxation and other regulatory requirements.
Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
Review monthly results and implement monthly variance reporting compared to budget.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA preferred.
Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing cost accounting.
Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
Knowledge of all aspects of GAAP.
Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with financial software.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Strong leadership qualities and ability to manage a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
Experience in a food manufacturing environment required.
