
Maintenance Technician in Newberg

B2 Community Care is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure our facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance, a strong safety mindset, and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
Repair and maintain fixtures, doors, flooring, lighting, and grounds.
Safety compliance: Follow all safety procedures, protocols, and environmental regulations; comply with company and state standards; participate in safety meetings and training.
Documentation: Maintain accurate work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and service reports.
Continuous Improvement: Identify recurring issues, recommend solutions, contribute to root‑cause analysis and process improvements.
Emergency On‑Call Support: Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours maintenance, as needed.
Qualifications
Experience: 2–4 years of maintenance or related experience required. Fleet maintenance or residential/commercial construction experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Basic electrical knowledge (controls, wiring diagrams, voltages); mechanical aptitude (pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts); HVAC familiarity and basic controls.
Tools & Equipment: Proficient with hand and power tools; experience using multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
Certifications: OSHA 10/30, NFPA, EPA Lead‑Safe are not required but preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, comfortable working in confined spaces, capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
Soft Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities; good communication skills; reliability and teamwork.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or technical certification in Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, or related field.
