Overview

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for supporting individuals with brain injury and their families/advocates by providing resources and guidance, as well as cultivating relationships with medical professionals and community partners associated with traumatic or acquired brain injuries. This role combines elements of relationship building, networking, marketing, fundraising, educating, event planning, business administration, and volunteer coordination, along with collaboration with individuals with a brain injury and their families. The program coordinator will raise community awareness of BIANK and promote the services offered, while interacting with the community to administer programs and provide resources.
Primary Responsibilities

Conduct community outreach to ensure maximum utilization of services by individuals of all ages with a brain injury in the Northern Kentucky counties of Boone, Kenton, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant and Pendleton.
Answer calls and emails to help survivors, families, advocates, other professionals, etc. locate appropriate resources and navigate needs for assistance.
Maintain and grow relationships with social workers, clinical staff and care coordinators in local hospitals, rehab facilities, and healthcare systems to communicate the mission and objectives of BIANK, and serve as a resource for the community regarding brain injury.
Maintain and update BIANK website.
Maintain, update, design marketing material and distribute among community networks. Prepare and deliver resource information to local hospitals.
Coordinate educational programs and training in the community regarding brain injuries. Maintain the BIANK resource manual and update as needed with necessary local community resources.
Address specific functions of the BIANK and its mission by developing, implementing, and evaluating community outreach programs.
Organize and conduct the monthly brain injury support group and survivor events. Coordinate and plan the Holiday Party, Picnic, and other community social events. Coordinate and manage the process of helmet giveaway events.
Assist with ticketing, website, and marketing materials for the NKY Brain Injury Conference. Organize and facilitate the annual Brain Walk with community partners and participants. Lead committees of special projects and monthly/quarterly events that serve brain injury survivors.
Other Duties

Maintain accurate accounting data including budget, expenditure sources, and income sources.
Maintain accurate records of initiatives and the individuals served.
Create, manage, promote, and administer programs and initiatives that support the BIANK mission.
Research, manage, and apply for grants for programs and initiatives.
Participate in State-led initiatives and programs as a committee member and representative of NKY.
Maintain an updated contact list of individuals with brain injuries, their families, and caregivers, supporting organizations and potential donors.
Maintain BIANK social media presence, including but not limited to BIANK website, Facebook page, Instagram, and Twitter account.
Assist and facilitate fundraising initiatives through virtual platforms or in person. Create and manage Google drive accounts or similar collaborative media.
Collaborate with other BIA’s in Kentucky to foster a consistent mission across the state. Assist with delegated administrative business items and assume responsibility with growth.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Experience with Google Workspace, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meets, etc.
Establishes and maintains effective communication with all levels of professionals and community members.
Establishes and maintains healthy professional and personal boundaries within the position.
Knowledge of the policies, laws and regulations governing confidentiality, such as HIPAA.
Strong organizational skills and maintains accurate files and records.

Ability to identify the needs of the community and creatively solve problems to meet those needs.
Position Requirements

Possess dependable transportation.
Occasional irregular hours and travel.
The physical and mental ability to adapt to and work within various environments that may have potential for environmental and physical hazards.
Standing, sitting, stooping, and ability to carry 20lbs
Functional capacity to consistently use a computer, phone system and other office equipment.
Qualifications

Education : Bachelor’s Degree in social work, human services, business administration, related field or related experience
Experience : Minimum of 1 year of work experience in a similar capacity, or social services is preferred, and in combination with marketing is a plus. Experience working with those affected by brain injury is highly valued.
Job Details

Job Type: Part-time salary position (16 hours per week) with potential for full-time. This is a flexible schedule, hybrid position with remote work, that includes travel to healthcare facilities and BIANK or community events (related to survivor/caregiver/community partner) at times. Occasional weekend/evening hours may be required.
Hourly Rate: Up to $25/hour
Benefit: Starting at 2-week of PTO per year
