VISION & PURPOSE OF ROLE

The KidMin Staff Intern supports the Kids Ministry team through hands‑on involvement in Sunday morning services and weekly programming. This role provides administrative and operational support while offering the intern a meaningful opportunity to develop leadership skills, serve children and families, and explore a calling to ministry in a nurturing, team‑driven environment.
Job Type: Hourly / Average Hours/Week: 10–12
Reports To: KidMin Team Lead
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide general administrative support to the KidMin team and volunteers
Assist with weekly preparation tasks including curriculum materials and room setup
Provide direct KidMin support during Sunday morning services
Attend weekly KidMin meetings or staff meetings as assigned
Train and serve in various KidMin roles (lead teacher, classroom assistant, new family check‑in, coach)
Assist with VBS preparation and organization
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall KidMin mission

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma
A desire to pursue ministry and a heart for teaching and training children
Demonstrated administrative ability and organizational skills
Ability to pass a background check (required for all children’s ministry staff)

– Ability to balance administrative tasks with volunteer management. Demonstrates strong time management and organizational skills to keep operations running smoothly.

– Ability to recruit, train, and support volunteers. Exhibits openness to others’ perspectives, gives and welcomes feedback, and contributes to building a positive team spirit.

– Ability to model Christ‑like behavior and mentor children in their spiritual growth. Demonstrates patience, compassion, and genuine care in every interaction.

Develop practical skills in children’s ministry leadership and classroom management
Gain experience in ministry administration, scheduling, and team coordination

MENTORSHIP

The KidMin Staff Intern will receive regular mentorship from the KidMin Team Lead, including ongoing coaching, feedback, and opportunities for leadership development. The intern will be integrated into staff meetings and encouraged to grow in both skill and spiritual maturity.
