PRS First Level Analysis Supervisor
Job Description:
The PRS Triage Engineering Supervisor leads a team responsible for First Level Analysis (FLA) of propulsionrelated vehicle issues across internal combustion, hybrid, and electric platforms. Operating in a fastpaced environment, this role ensures rapid and accurate triage of field concerns using advanced diagnostic tools such as Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, ETAS INCA, and other calibration and dataacquisition systems.
The Supervisor is accountable for prioritizing incoming field issues, driving technical direction during earlystage analysis, mentoring triage engineers, and partnering closely with Propulsion Engineering, Quality, and Field Service teams to accelerate rootcause identification and improve product reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of PRS Triage Engineers performing First Level Analysis.
Establish daily/weekly triage priorities and allocate workload based on severity and platform needs.
Oversee review of logs, DTCs, INCA recordings, and customer symptom reports.
Guide the use of CANalyzer, CANoe, INCA, MDA, and ECU interface tools.
Partner with propulsion engineering teams across ICE, hybrid, and EV.
Communicate trends, issues, and risk areas to Quality and Manufacturing.
Develop triage documentation standards and improve diagnostic processes.
Deliver triage dashboards and leadership reports.

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
7+ years in propulsion systems, diagnostics, or controls engineering.
Proficiency with CANalyzer/CANoe and INCA tools.
Strong understanding of propulsion system behavior.
Leadership or mentoring experience.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in relevant engineering field.
PRS, triage, or field issue resolution experience.
Knowledge of embedded controls, OBD, and CAN communication.
MATLAB/Simulink or data-simulation experience.
ISO 26262 familiarity.
Experience generating CAN traffic (e.g., CAPL).
Familiarity with hybrid/EV high-voltage systems.
