We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel opening in Sweetwater, TX. The right SLP should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted.
Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements
Must have 6 months of experience; new grads encouraged to apply. Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state-specific licensing.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.
BLS, ASHA, 2 Years (additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.)
