Position: Liquid Distribution Training Manager
Reports to: Director of Distribution
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
Position Summary
The Liquid Distribution Training Manager is responsible for training, and developing dispatch and scheduling staff to ensure consistent, efficient, and accurate execution of daily operations. This role ensures all dispatchers and schedulers are fully proficient in company systems, processes, customer requirements, and communication standards. Work hand in hand with Distribution Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Training
Provide structured training on dispatch workflows, scheduling procedures, and customer service expectations
Train staff on dispatch software (e.g., ADD's E3 or other back-office systems)
Develop and maintain training materials, SOGs, and reference guides
Operational Support
Support dispatch team during peak periods or staffing shortages
Monitor scheduling and dispatch accuracy to identify training gaps
Assist in resolving routing, delivery, and scheduling issues
Performance Development
Evaluate new hire performance during training period
Provide coaching and corrective feedback to improve efficiency and accuracy
Partner with management to identify ongoing training needs
Process Improvement
Recommend improvements to dispatch and scheduling processes
Standardize best practices across all dispatch locations or teams
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements
Communication & Coordination
Serve as a liaison between dispatch, management, and field personnel
Ensure consistent communication standards across all dispatchers and schedulers
Assist in resolving escalated issues related to scheduling or deliveries
Qualifications
Prior experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or scheduling required
Strong understanding of dispatch operations and workflow management
Experience with dispatch or logistics software (E3 or similar preferred)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to train, coach, and develop employees effectively
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Ability to travel 75% of the time
Preferred Experience
3+ years in dispatch or logistics coordination
Previous training, supervisory, or lead dispatcher experience
Fuel delivery logistics background
