Physical Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients to assess physical conditions, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and medical diagnoses.
Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other interventions to improve mobility and reduce pain.
Educate patients on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and home exercise programs.
Monitor and document patient progress, modifying treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Use specialized equipment and technologies to assist with patient rehabilitation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants and other support staff.
Stay updated on advancements in physical therapy practices, techniques, and regulations.
Physical Therapist Requirements:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a Physical Therapist.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and therapeutic practices.
Proven experience in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring strength and endurance.
Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment and technology.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following ethical practices.
Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings or weekends, if required.
Willingness to pursue continuing education to stay current with industry advancements.
