About the Role
Crescent Hotels & Resorts is launching JW Marriott Reston Station this Fall, and we are hiring an engineer to support the grand opening and ongoing operations of our 28‑story luxury hotel in Virginia. The engineer will ensure maintenance, repair, and equipment reliability to support our guests and operations.

Responsibilities

Assist with preventative maintenance and complete reports on work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc., to maintain product quality standards.

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance assignments (e.g., room care).

Assist in checking electrical systems such as air‑conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and replacements.

Assist with routine repairs and major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, pool equipment, HVAC, hand and power tools, and general plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, toilets, sinks, etc.

Service the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs.

Maintain the building exterior and curb appeal (e.g., snow removal, lawn care, painting, gardening).

Refurbish furniture and fixtures within guest rooms such as cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, counters; paint and finish if needed.

Respond courteously to all guest questions, complaints, and/or requests to ensure strong guest satisfaction.

Operate heavy machinery and work in extreme temperatures as required.

Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.

Perform any other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities
Must be able to communicate in English; self‑starting personality with an even disposition; maintain a professional appearance and manner; communicate well with guests; willing to pitch in and help coworkers; capable of climbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25‑50 lbs; receptive to instructions and able to report progress of work assignments.
