Speech Language Pathologist (Travel) – Walla Walla, WA
We are looking for a Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) for an immediate travel assignment in Walla Walla, WA. The position is a 13‑week contract with 40 hours per week (8‑hour shifts) and travel employment type. The successful candidate should have at least 6 months of experience – 1 year required for most applicants, but exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered. Responsibilities
Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Create treatment and therapy plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and their causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
Report progress and current status to appropriate parties (family members, teachers, medical professionals).
Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of clinical SLP experience (1 year generally required; new graduates encouraged).
BLS certification and ASHA‑SLP National Certification, with state-specific licensing.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods and to bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
