Bowhead seeks Site Supervisors to fill positions at the various Army Depots listed below to oversee daily maintenance/productions operations and personnel to ensure the facility remains mission-ready and compliant with strict Department of Defense (DoD) regulations.

Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX

Anniston Army Depot, Anniston, AL

This is a proposal effort pay to be determined upon award of contract.

Has full responsibility for the formulation and accomplishment of the annual execution plan for maintenance/production on assigned weapons/support systems, which include the repair, rebuild, fabrication, modification and/or conversion of major end items (i.e., complete vehicles) and secondary items (i.e., engines, transmissions, track and road‑wheels) associated with complex ground weapon systems.

Plans and organizes the operation of assigned maintenance/production tasks; develops, and recommends for approval, proposals for policies related to operating procedures and facilities; oversees the development of assigned operational programs related to programming and budgeting activities; coordinates the preparation of programs for the major areas of maintenance and logistics activities and related production control and supply operations; and oversees the execution of operation and budgeting programs.

Reviews programs to assure adequacy and accuracy; coordinates necessary adjustments and corrections. Identifies actual or potential deviations from established policy or objectives and negotiates corrective action

Determines what programs or major projects should be initiated, continued, or curtailed; timetables for programs and major projects; and the need for changes in emphasis in programs or parts of programs. Accomplishes long‑range planning required in anticipation of changes: in functions and programs.

Monitors mission performance by such measures as direct labor hour execution, productive yield, leave management, budget compliance, and control of man‑hours; evaluates all available information and makes program adjustment recommendation on expenditure of funds pertaining to all mission areas; compares program costs and accomplishments can be made in funds, manpower, material, and equipment programming.

Establishes and maintains liaison between RRAD and the maintenance directorates at other installations, agencies, and industries on matters pertaining to operating programs especially regarding improving the efficiency and effectiveness of production and Logistics techniques, methods, operations, and processes.

Assures operations are performed as efficiently as possible through the use and monitoring of multiple metrics to monitor schedule conformance, program cost conformance, inventory accuracy, inventory excess, materiel returns, etc...

Responsible for internal control system to ensure that government resources are efficiently and effectively managed.

Responsible for the associated production equipment, which must be repaired, maintained, and replaced, when necessary, without interfering with production schedules.

Present at the site during assigned standard day shift employees are performing work at the site and serve as the interface with on‑site officials, as well as serving as a point of contact for the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO)

Responsible for adjusting employees’ schedules as necessary to meet changes in workload and submitting a revised staffing plan within 48 hours of notice.

Responsible for identifying where on site each employee is working (which building or area).

Responsible for the performance of work provided by employees assigned to support the contract.

Appraises the progress of work programs by reviewing reports against established schedules and work budgets.

Compares costs against accomplishments.

Reviews administration of the maintenance programs to ensure compliance with the intent of policies, procedures: and regulations.

Exercises leadership in analysis of maintenance program results and executing major initiatives to improve quality, productivity, cost effectiveness and competitiveness.

Assures that completed items perform their designated functions reliably for their users.)

Perform other duties as assigned

Experience in planning, directing coordinating and evaluating maintenance operations. Personnel management, program requirements evaluations, LEAN, cost conformance.

Minimum ten (10) years of management experience in Army maintenance/production and logistics operations.

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with financial management and knowledge of Army Depot Information Systems.

Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ documented management experience managing 50+ personnel both directly and indirectly with or in support of the US military

Qualifications

Minimum High School Diploma or GED.

Bachelor’s Degree, preferred with five (5) years’ experience in Army maintenance/production and logistics operations

Requires mechanical aptitude, knowledge of military maintenance systems

Individual shall have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role.

Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.

Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government Representative, and outside contacts.

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.

Valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to pass a pre‑employment background check.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides leadership and direction to the four Army Depots management and technical team.

Monitor/provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, coaching, and disciplinary action.

Ensures flow of communication from upper management to employees and vice versa.

Site Supervisor is required to be on‑site.

Work areas consist of office and non‑office settings such as maintenance, production, and logistics facilities.

Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) which includes safety glasses, protective‑toe footwear, gloves, and hearing protection as required.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time

Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
