Position Summary
The Strategic Sourcing Intern will support the sourcing and procurement team with a primary focus on vendor relations, contract administration, and supplier data management. This role provides hands on exposure to supplier engagement, contract lifecycle processes, and strategic sourcing initiatives while working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Duration:
Summer / Semester Internship (flexible based on academic schedule)
Key Responsibilities
Vendor Relations
Assist in maintaining positive relationships with suppliers through regular communication and follow ups
Support coordination of supplier meetings, performance reviews, and onboarding activities
Help track supplier performance metrics, compliance requirements, and issue resolution
Maintain organized vendor records and ensure accurate supplier information in sourcing systems
Contract Management
Support the contract lifecycle process, including intake, documentation, renewals, and archiving
Assist in reviewing contracts for completeness, key terms, and compliance with internal standards
Maintain contract databases and track critical dates such as expirations, renewals, and amendments
Partner with legal, finance, and internal stakeholders to support contract-related inquiries
Sourcing & Procurement Support
Assist with data analysis related to spend, suppliers, and contract utilization
Help prepare sourcing documentation, summaries, and presentations
Support continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and vendor management processes
Qualifications
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred
Exposure to procurement, sourcing, or contract management concepts
Experience working with data sets, spreadsheets, or ERP/procurement systems
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
