Job Summary
The Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapist provides patient-centered therapy to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery, helping them regain independence in daily activities.

Experience and Education
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
One year of experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
Texas license or eligibility for Texas licensure upon hire
Preferred Qualifications
Additional experience in inpatient rehabilitation
Job Duties
Demonstrate knowledge of departmental policies, procedures, and patient care protocols; pass competency reviews.
Apply proper body mechanics for personal safety, instruct others, ensure patient safety, and maximize treatment potential.
Review history, physical, complaints, and other sources to conduct evaluations, identify and record problems, set realistic goals, and monitor progress.
Analyze and design treatment plans based on patient needs and goals; prepare for patient discharge; record progress; order equipment and ensure prescription completion.
Organize and manage patient treatment schedules efficiently; assist in coverage of other patients and provide training, education, and supervision to OT technicians, students, and nursing staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
