We are looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) for an immediate travel opening in Salina, KS. OT should have 1 year of experience; for an exceptional candidate with an appropriate background, 6 months of experience may be accepted. Read below for additional requirements.
Responsibilities
Evaluate a patient\'s condition and develop a plan of care to improve, regain, and develop skills needed for daily life.
Review patients\' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
Develop a treatment plan with specific goals and activities to reach those goals.
Assist patients with various disabilities to perform tasks.
Evaluate a patient\'s home or workplace and identify potential improvements based on health needs.
Educate a patient\'s family and employer about accommodations and care.
Recommend special equipment and instruct patients on its use.
Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting to physicians and other healthcare providers.
Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements
BLS
1 year of experience; new grads are encouraged to apply
NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing
Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
