We are a growing portable restroom service company based in East Hartford, CT looking to hire a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of service trucks and equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically skilled, and able to diagnose and repair issues to keep our fleet operating safely and efficiently. This position offers steady, year‑round work with a growing company across Connecticut and the Northeast.
Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks and service vehicles.
Diagnose and repair engine, hydraulic, pump, and electrical issues.
Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.
Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
Maintain service logs and repair documentation.
Assist with repairs on portable restroom service equipment and trailers when needed.
Requirements
Experience working on diesel engines, trucks, or fleet vehicles.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems.
Knowledge of hydraulics and pumps is a plus.
Valid driver’s license required (CDL is a plus but not required).
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
Strong work ethic and reliability.
