Hera Technologies is seeking two detail‑oriented and execution‑focused Production Planners to support day‑to‑day production planning activities within our aerospace and defense manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Production Planning Manager, this role will play a critical part in translating demand signals into actionable production schedules, ensuring alignment between material availability, capacity, and customer delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain detailed production schedules in alignment with the master production plan
Release and manage work orders to support machining, fabrication, and assembly operations
Monitor daily production performance and adjust schedules to address delays, constraints, or priority changes
Ensure alignment between production schedules and material availability
Translate customer orders, forecasts, and program requirements into executable work orders
Support on‑time delivery by proactively identifying risks and escalating issues
Assist in managing delivery dates and updating order statuses within ERP systems
Support capacity planning activities by analyzing work center loads and identifying bottlenecks
Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve constraints
Recommend schedule adjustments to optimize throughput and resource utilization
Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Program Management to ensure schedule alignment
Coordinate with Purchasing to track material shortages and expedite critical components
Communicate schedule changes, risks, and recovery plans to internal stakeholders
Maintain accurate planning data within ERP/MRP systems (BOMs, routings, lead times, and order statuses)
Ensure work order accuracy and timely system updates to reflect real‑time production status
Assist in troubleshooting planning and MRP‑related issues
Support the development and standardization of planning processes and tools
Contribute to improvements in schedule adherence, planning accuracy, and production flow
Participate in planning cadences such as daily production meetings and capacity reviews
Drive performance against key operational KPIs, including on‑time delivery, WIP levels, past‑due orders, and schedule adherence, ensuring alignment with production targets and customer commitments
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
2‑5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
Experience working in a manufacturing environment (aerospace/defense preferred)
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling principles (JobBoss, Epicor, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem‑solving capability
Effective communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing environments
Exposure to AS9100 or other regulated manufacturing standards
Working knowledge of Epicor ERP
Familiarity with CNC machining, fabrication, or aerospace assemblies
APICS/CPIM certification or progress toward certification
Experience supporting production in a growth‑stage or startup environment
Additional Requirements

Willingness to work in a manufacturing facility with regular exposure to shop floor conditions, including noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures and frequent interaction with production areas (machining, fabrication, and assembly)
Frequent interaction with production areas (machining, fabrication, and assembly)
Ability to use a computer and most common software programs to complete assignments
Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in person, by phone and online
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
