Assistant Chemist
MRIGlobal is seeking a highly motivated analytical chemist to join our Pharmaceutical Analysis Group. The position will involve analytical support for investigational and commercial drugs. Analytical techniques include, but are not limited to, the following: HPLC/UHPLC analysis with UV and MS detection; Karl Fischer water determination; particulate matter by light obscuration; and physical tests.
Requirements
A minimum of a B.S. or B.A. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related fields is required
College transcript(s) may be requested
Experience: 0 to >3 years of experience, this is an entry level role
Knowledge and hands‑on experience in the following areas will be beneficial:
Chromatography
Mass spectrometry
Titrations
Accurately weighing small quantities
Quantitative transfer
Analytical methods development and validation
Waters Empower chromatography data software
Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Word)
Good documentation practices
Experience in a FDA Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)-compliant environment
Competencies
Ability to perform daily tasks within a laboratory by following standard operating procedures, test methods, and study protocols
Very attentive to detail
Critical thinking
Effective written and oral communication skills
Efficient time management
Well organized and methodical, yet flexible to changing priorities
Effectively build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization
Pay Range
$54,900 - $64,100. The salary range is intended as a general guideline and is not a guaranteed offer, as compensation depends on various factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate qualifications, experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
