Tax & Accounting Manager – Mid-Size CPA Firm (US)
We’re partnering with a well-established mid-size CPA firm that is continuing to grow and looking to hire a Tax & Accounting Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of tax and accounting, wants direct client exposure, and is looking for a clear path toward senior leadership.
The Role
Manage a portfolio of closely held businesses and high-net-worth clients
Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns (corporate, partnership, and individual)
Lead month-end and year-end close, financial statement preparation, and reporting
Provide tax planning and advisory services, identifying opportunities to minimise liabilities
Act as a key client contact, building strong, long-term relationships
Manage and mentor a team of staff and seniors, reviewing work and supporting development
Collaborate with Partners on client strategy, structuring, and growth initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
About You
CPA qualified (or actively pursuing)
5–8+ years’ experience within public accounting
Strong experience across both tax and accounting
Proven ability to manage client relationships and lead engagements
Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
Strong communication and organisational skills
