Office Services of Columbia is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable
Accounting Specialist (Bookkeeper)
to join our growing team in Columbia, SC. This role is ideal for a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working with multiple accounts and values accuracy, organization, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
Maintain accurate general ledger records
Process payroll and payroll-related filings as needed
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
Reconcile credit card accounts and manage expense tracking
Assist with year-end reporting and collaboration with CPAs
Maintain organized financial records and documentation
Communicate professionally with clients regarding financial matters
Qualifications
Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Experience (a Plus)
Bookkeeping experience in
restaurants
and/or
property management
Experience handling sales tax, hospitality tax, or tenant/owner reconciliations
