On‑Site IT Technician (Operations Support)
Location: Lafayette, LA
Department: Operations
Reports To: Director of Operations
Role Overview
Golfballs.com is seeking a hands‑on On‑Site IT Technician to support our operations and production environment. This role sits directly within Operations and is critical to maintaining uptime, supporting production equipment, and ensuring our systems and tools run efficiently across the facility.
This is not a purely desk‑based IT role — it is a floor‑active, problem‑solving position that requires urgency, ownership, and the ability to troubleshoot in real time.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Production Support
Manage and maintain employee kiosks and shared workstations
Support conference room technology and meeting equipment
Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot all production and administrative printers
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on UV printers to ensure consistent print quality and uptime
Identify and resolve common print issues (alignment, streaking, curing) to reduce reprints and production delays
Support printer setup, calibration, and coordination with vendors for repairs or escalations
Configure and manage Raspberry Pi devices used for KPI dashboards
Support all production station hardware, including:
Zebra handheld scanners
Desktop computers
Printers and scales
Diagnose and replace faulty equipment (scanners, monitors, TVs, keyboards, etc.)
Submit and manage RMAs for warrantied equipment
Update station configurations and tokens as needed
Support deployment updates in coordination with development teams
Helpdesk & User Support
Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across departments
Perform system cleanups and optimization to improve performance
Respond to employee IT requests with a high sense of urgency
Assist with password resets and access issues
Systems Administration
Create, modify, and disable user accounts (Active Directory & internal systems)
Assign Microsoft licenses and manage user access
Configure user accounts within Golfballs.com systems
Set up and maintain phone system users in 3CX
Configure user badges and access controls in alarm/security systems
Set up new hire workstations (PC/laptop deployment and configuration)
What Success Looks Like
Minimal downtime across production stations
Fast, effective resolution of IT issues
Strong partnership with Operations leadership
Proactive identification and prevention of recurring issues
Clean, consistent system and user management
Qualifications
2+ years of hands‑on IT support experience (preferably in operations, warehouse, or production environments)
Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
Experience with:
Windows environments & Active Directory
Microsoft 365 Admin
Printers, scanners, and endpoint devices
Comfort working with physical hardware and moving throughout a facility
Ability to prioritize and respond quickly in a fast‑paced environment
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting production or warehouse environments
Familiarity with Raspberry Pi or similar devices
Exposure to VoIP systems (e.g., 3CX)
Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, connectivity troubleshooting)
