Resident Field Service Representative Wastewater

Job Description

The Field Service Representative role at Veolia Water Tech involves providing operations and maintenance expertise on water and wastewater treatment systems across various industries. This position is critical for ensuring the optimal performance of technologies such as membrane bio reactor, ultrafiltration membranes, centrifuge, media filtration, softening, reverse osmosis, and more. The representative will be responsible for troubleshooting, conducting maintenance, and performing analytical testing to meet customer needs and contract specifications.

Key Characteristics (Highlight characteristics required to succeed in the role)

Operate, monitor, and optimize equipment performance.

Conduct maintenance and calibration activities on wastewater treatment equipment.

Perform analytical lab testing associated with wastewater operations, such as turbidity, hardness, chlorine, pH, CO₂, O₂, SDI, TOC, and other site‑specific testing requirements.

Monitor and maintain chemical injection systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain inventory of spare parts and adequate supply of chemicals and replacement parts.

Create and maintain site paperwork, and provide customers with detailed technical summaries of work performed.

Carry out mechanical, electrical, and controls troubleshooting on equipment such as valves, air compressors, ejectors, process pumps, blowers, and instrumentation.

Consult with customer management and operation teams.

Ensure contract compliance of volume and quality specifications.

Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely with project teams.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to meet all customer site requirements.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma / GED / Home School Certification OR international equivalent 2+ years’ experience of service/maintenance or equivalent in an industrial environment.

Valid Driver’s License

Preferred (if applicable):

Bachelor or Associates Degree in Science/Engineering (STEM) or technical certificate in Instrumentation.

Working Conditions (Specify % of travel involved if applicable, physical conditions, interaction with any hazardous material, work environment, etc.)

Ability to travel within the region as needed

Nice-to-haves

Experience in waste water treatment equipment maintenance.

Strong mechanical and problem‑solving skills.
