Merrill Wealth Management - Talent Acquisition Consultant II
This position will sit in the Global Human Resources (GHR) organization within Global Talent Acquisition (GTA). It will provide strategic talent acquisition support to Merrill Lynch Wealth Management for experienced advisors.

The Merrill Lynch Wealth Management Talent Acquisition team is responsible for hiring highly qualified external financial advisors that will be located in Merrill offices throughout the country. This role will support creating an inclusive, best‑in‑class advisor population.

Responsibilities

Manage candidate and executive management relationships at the professional level.

Handle rejections and overcome objections professionally.

Provide consultative search recruiting services; including sourcing, prospect outreach, warm handoffs to local management, and managing the overall end‑to‑end sourcing process.

Continuously network and pipeline to identify a targeted external talent slate.

Understand the Wealth Management industry to effectively identify and recruit experienced talent with relevant high‑caliber expertise.

Effectively manage all compliance and operational risk.

Conduct intake sessions with hiring managers to understand business needs and manage requisition workbench within the applicant tracking system.

Oversee the process for creating pipelines of candidates for critical skill areas by developing and executing a sourcing strategy, cold calling, and candidate assessment through in‑depth phone screens/interviews.

Manage relationships with senior Human Resources (HR) leaders, coordinating regular updates and reporting on open positions, new hires, and business‑specific initiatives.

Facilitate a more inclusive workplace by ensuring the hiring process leverages a pool of candidates with varied backgrounds and experiences.

Ensure compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting and candidate selection, including applicable federal and state recruitment regulations, the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Required Qualifications

Significant experience in professional level recruiting, managing end‑to‑end sourcing and recruiting processes for niche, experienced advisor programs.

Experience developing and executing candidate sourcing strategies, cold calling, and candidate assessment through in‑depth phone screens/interviews, consulting senior leaders on talent acquisition strategy, and working closely with the LOB on offer extensions.

Experience recruiting for complex, hard‑to‑find niche skill sets within the wealth management industry.

Ability and desire to stay abreast of market conditions and provide business partners with market intel and research.

Proven track record of directly sourcing talent with specific subject matter expertise required in competitive markets.

Team player who is flexible and adaptable to rapid changes in processes and requisition volumes.

Reliable and self‑motivated with a strong work ethic.

Desired Qualifications

Intermediate level Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Reporting and analytics capabilities.

Experience hiring for FINRA registered advisor roles.

Previous experience in the financial industry is a significant plus.

Pay range: $110,000.00 - $160,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible: This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group, and the overall success of the Company.
