What You Will Do
As our Employee Relations Partner, you're not just handling HR tasks — you're shaping the employee experience. You'll serve as a trusted advisor to managers, build the systems and tools that keep our ER function running smoothly, and ensure our practices are compliant, consistent, and grounded in respect and fairness.

You'll work closely with our VP of HR to:

Manage employee relations matters from intake through resolution

Coach and support managers through complex workplace situations

Build and maintain documentation systems, templates, and ER logs

Champion a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous learning

Navigate our unionized environment with confidence and curiosity

Note: Fred Finch is a double‑breasted employer with a union representing approximately 40 employees in Northern California. Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements is a plus — but a genuine willingness to learn is what matters most.

What You Bring

5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2–3 years in an employee relations or consultative role

Expert knowledge of HR best practices and employment law

Strong investigation, mediation, and conflict resolution skills

Sharp documentation instincts and exceptional attention to detail

Experience advising business leaders and partnering across all levels of an organization

Curiosity about AI tools and how they can improve HR processes

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

HR certification (HRCI, SHRM, or similar) is a plus but not required

Above all, we're looking for someone who leads with integrity, listens with empathy, and brings a genuine commitment to making the workplace better for everyone.
