Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a commercial or residential painter, preferably in a hotel or facilities setting.
Valid state driver’s license required.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in handling specialized surfaces or finishes.
Familiarity with reading and interpreting safety rules, maintenance manuals, and equipment instructions.
Comfort working with computers and Windows-based software systems.
Safely operate, clean, and maintain a range of painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, sprayers, and pumps.
Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and written with team members, leaders and guests required.
Ability to work flexible schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, and remain outdoors for extended periods as needed.
Responsibilities:
Prepares, mixes, matches, primes, sands, seals, patches and paints furniture, canvas, walls, floors, doors, cabinets, building surfaces and fixtures of all types of painting materials such as varnish, lacquer, shellac, enamel, latex, epoxy, water‑proof and heat‑resistant finishes.
Tapes, flushes, repairs and applies texturing, wallpaper and acoustic layers on a variety of surfaces and adjusts colors when necessary.
Operates, cleans and maintains all painting equipment including brushes, rollers, sprayers and pumps, and safely stores and labels all material.
Responds to maintenance/complaint/guest requests throughout the hotel and grounds.
Other duties as assigned.
