
Collections Supervisor
American Honda Motor Company, Inc., Marysville, OH, United States
Job Purpose
To support the Collections Manager and engage members in communication to resolve outstanding delinquent accounts and minimize losses to Honda FCU and its members while maintaining a high level of member service and professionalism when dealing with difficult and sensitive situations.
Key Accountabilities
Loan loss prevention and recovery
Specialty collection tasks: bankruptcy, foreclosure, modifications, repossession, fraud reviews/filings, regulation response/strategy
Review and update credit bureaus, mobile deposits, returned checks, deposit fraud, and Service Members Civil Relief Act
Writing accurate and concise notes and documentation in appropriate collection system
Ongoing education and training for self and department training/cross‑training
Assist department manager with reports, projects, software/system administration and team updates
Oversee department daily job duties and assign and review completed work
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
High school diploma or general education degree
Two years’ experience in a credit union or collections environment
Working knowledge of state and federal collection laws and procedures
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Reasoning ability to solve problems
Member service and communication skills
Negotiation skills
Ability to train, support, and motivate teams in a one‑on‑one or group setting
