Job Description
Shift: Night

Shift Premium Amount: $2.00

Pay Rate: $27.00 depending on experience

Position Summary
Assist maintenance team to perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning, electromechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic equipment used in the manufacturing process. Assist with maintenance on equipment including welding, machine or vehicle servicing. Also performs general construction and building maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist to perform a variety of maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment.

Assist with parts ordering.

Assist with creating and repairing of dies and jigs according to engineering and automation specs.

General building services and maintenance as requested by Supervisor.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Practice personal safety and follow all safety practices and procedures. Comply with all policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to management.

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requirements

Ability to read a tape measure and use various hand tools.

Experience working in a team environment.

Requires attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks.

Use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

Ability to use hand and power tools and operate material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jack).

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers and employees of the company.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
