PR Watch Operator – Wahiawa, Hawaii
We are seeking a PR Watch Operator with demonstrated experience performing a variety of analyses and preparing the appropriate documentation. The role includes preparing briefings and presentations, supervising on‑site installation management, and independently installing, operating, maintaining, configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing IT systems, devices, circuits, cables, components, software, and end‑user devices.
Responsibilities
Maintain 24x7x365 communication guard support for approximately 160 ships worldwide.
Ensure quality control of all naval message traffic and emails within our legacy systems servicing the ships.
Perform troubleshooting on legacy systems and manage the processing of general services messages via Defense Messaging System (DMDS) and C2OIX.
Conduct database maintenance, certify configuration files, and assist in resolving client problems on Lotus Notes R5.
Supervise the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of DMDS.
Monitor queues hosted on Exchange servers and notify the MNOC manager of any malfunctions.
Resolve ships’ trouble calls regarding Outlook access and email problems, and ensure proper completion of work orders and calls via Remedy.
Monitor and troubleshoot NIPRNET and SIPRNET operations.
Assist clients via phone, email, and remote administration in resolving web browsing, email, LDAP, network issues, and password lockouts through Active Directory.
Verify SolarWinds to facilitate recovery from network outages, improve performance with advanced network and bandwidth monitoring, and provide analysis of the impact to the fleet.
Supervise support of Next Generation Wideband (NGW) satellite transport, providing internet, e‑mail, and phone service to approximately 100 MSC ships and units.
Diagnose and resolve ship voice problems and assist the supervisor in troubleshooting system faults, malfunctions, outages, and various ship trouble calls.
Monitor and troubleshoot cryptographic equipment and Secure Terminal Equipment (STE), responding to and resolving client problems.
Perform loading, data transfer, and destruction of cryptographic equipment/material.
No remote or hybrid opportunities are available; the incumbent must report to the office daily.
Qualifications
Top Secret clearance required.
CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required.
High School diploma required.
IAT Level II certification required.
