Job Summary
This role will assist with advising, programming, and recruitment efforts for the more than 300 students currently involved in Fraternity and Sorority Life, directly supporting the university's goal of increased student engagement. The position will provide consistent support, monitor compliance, develop leaders, and enhance student experiences.
Responsibilities
Council Advising & Student Support
– Serve as the primary advisor for Fraternity and Sorority Life councils. Provide coaching, conduct meetings, support leadership development, coordinate communications, and maintain compliance and documentation.
Programming & Event Execution
– Plan, coordinate, and execute programs and signature events in alignment with university policies. Develop timelines, logistics plans, and post‑event documentation for continuous improvement.
Intake Oversight & Risk Management
– Oversee intake logistics and ensure compliance with institutional and national guidelines. Manage documentation and monitor risk concerns.
Assessment, Documentation & Compliance
– Maintain accurate records, track participation and training, and support annual reporting and trend analysis.
Collaboration and Team Support
– Work closely with senior staff to align council operations with broader strategy and share insights for office-wide planning.
Other Duties
– Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
One year of work experience in education, student services, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience with registered student organizations, fraternities/sororities, and event planning.
Knowledge of student development theory and its application.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and related databases.
Skills
– Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication. Detail‑oriented with excellent prioritization and organization.
Abilities
– Maintain confidentiality, relate confidently with people, handle stressful situations professionally, adjust schedule to council needs, and demonstrate commitment to inclusive campus communities.
Physical Abilities
Ability to perform all job duties.
Shift / Salary / Benefits
Shift: Days (may require work outside standard business hours). Salary will be commensurate with qualifications within the established range.
