Job Purpose/Summary
Receiving clerk is responsible for receiving incoming parts and properly labeling them, helping to gather parts for the assembly team when needed. Material Handler – The Material Handler is responsible for moving material throughout the facility.

Duties and Responsibilities

Receive all incoming materials, supplies, equipment, and returned goods. Check against purchase orders or receiving paperwork.

Verify quantity, type, size, part numbers, dimensions, and other specifications to properly identify materials.

Route or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing locations.

Maintain records and prepare receiving reports.

Help load and unload trucks.

Operate the crane to lift, transport, and position loads, ensuring skill and care in handling up to the equipment’s capacity. Use proper rigging methods.

Receive all goods, including raw steel and processed kits; pull kits and bring them to the production staff.

Before leaving for the day, ensure all forklifts are parked inside and annex doors are closed.

Inspect to ensure parts meet production specifications and standards; report defective materials to the supervisor.

Organize parts.

Complete special projects as required, and may be assigned to other areas of Operations based on business or customer needs.

Housekeeping: empty all garbage cans/bins (including chip bins), maintain work areas, and keep them organized, clean, and safe both indoors and outdoors. Keep the west yard organized.

Clean and organize the shop floor: sweep the main aisles using a sweeper and organize pallets.

Clean shop, administration, and locker room bathrooms: refill soap dispensers, paper towels, toilet paper, and other toiletries; sweep and mop floors, clean mirrors, and flush floor drains; wipe down lockers, stall walls, and window ledges weekly.

Clean lunchrooms, break rooms, and conference areas: clean the inside and outside of refrigerators and microwaves, wipe down countertops, tables, coffee machines, and sinks.

Clean parking lot: drive over the lot using a forklift with a magnet attachment, pick up and discard wood scraps, broken pallets, and other debris.

Clean hallway: sweep the area from the main office entrance to the shop.

On a weekly basis: check all stairwells and stairs for dirt and debris; sweep accordingly and wipe down railings.

Snow shoveling and salting.

Other duties as assigned.
