Overview

This position conducts and coordinates the authorization and issuance of Oracle purchase orders, receipts of non-PO purchases to provide for the timely acquisition of all materials and/or equipment and/or services payment for the assigned departments and end users in accordance with purchasing and disbursement guidelines and policies.

Compensation $23.53 to $36.76 wage based on experience and education

Responsibilities

Conducts and coordinates the activities and processes of procurement, receipt, and charging of medical supplies and other materials for assigned area Cath Lab, and multiple hospital departments.
Regularly monitors downstream user requisition activity and ensures that user requisitions receive the appropriate disbursement authorization and contain all required documentation. Generates purchase orders to authorize the acquisition of, and payment for goods and services. Monitors upstream accounts payable payment activity for all issued purchase orders and provides training and feedback to all employees utilizing purchase orders.
Uses a materials management information system for verifying, tracking, issuing, receiving and usage reporting of non-purchase order purchases. Updates MMIS system files and ensures compliance with policies.
Conducts Quality Management work as assigned.
Requirements

Requires Business, math and communications skills, knowledge and abilities as normally evidenced by an associates in business or procurement, or equivalent experience and training.
Requires the knowledge normally acquired over two or more years of experience in Materials Management and/or the medical field, with a broad understanding of medical supplies, medical supply handling, and inventory management. Requires effective verbal and written communication skills, leadership and human relations skills, and excellent customer service skills.
Requires keyboarding skills and the ability to use and maintain information, charges and reports in a materials management information system.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with Lawson Materials Management Information System (MMIS) is preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred. Additional related clinical or procurement knowledge and experience is a plus.
