
Assistant Project Manager - Data Centers
HDR, White Plains, NY, United States
HDR is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in client development and delivery of data center projects. The role focuses on managing and delivering projects from planning through commissioning and requires strong client‑facing skills to secure work from a global client base.
The Assistant Project Manager will:
Coordinate work of single or multidisciplinary teams throughout the project life cycle under the supervision of a Project Manager
Manage many aspects of a small project or a single aspect of a larger project
Coordinate workload through project execution and deliver on budget and schedule
Conduct periodic project reviews with Project Manager, Accounting, Operational and Business leadership
Perform other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
Local candidates preferred
PMP certification
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam
MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience a plus)
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Drive, Chat, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Experience working with multidisciplinary teams of Architects, Engineers, and Designers
Availability to travel to regional sites as needed
Preference for candidates with PE licensure
Experience in Healthcare, Data Center, Science and Technology, or Mission‑Critical facilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
At least 5 years of related experience
Ability to interact with design teams and possess excellent organizational, project management and communication skills

Preferred compensation range depends on skills, experience, education and location: New York, NY $114,625–$163,750; Pennington, NJ $105,455–$150,650; White Plains, NY $114,625–$163,750; Woodcliff Lake, NJ $114,625–$163,750; Newark, NJ $110,040–$157,200.
