Housekeeping / Room Attendant
Purpose: To clean hotel guest rooms according to quality and performance standards
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that assigned rooms are fully stocked, cleaned, and serviced to a high standard.
Change bed linen and make beds.
Replace used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
Sweept and mopped floors.
Vacuumed carpets.
Dusted and polished furniture.
Emptied trash containers and ashtrays.
Cleaned public areas, such as corridors.
Reported any technical issues and maintenance needs.
Updated status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
Returned and restocked cleaning cart at shift end.
Requirements
Must be 18 years old or older.
Previous housekeeping and/or guest service experience is preferred.
Must have experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Must be able to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
Must have physical strength, mobility and stamina to lift 50 pounds, carry, push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.
Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Ideal candidates are professional, polite, and honest.
Must be able to learn and comply with all housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards.
Must maintain a neat and clean physical appearance, and demonstrate professional conduct and honesty.
Dependability: Employees are expected to be on time and demonstrate regular attendance.
Job Performance: Employees are expected to complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely.
Conduct: Employees are expected to follow worksite rules and regulations. Employees who violate worksite rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Optional Housing: Dorm-style housing is on the property (walk to work). Male rooms. Female rooms. Up to 4 persons per room. Room has two sets of bunk beds, bathroom, mini-fridge, and microwave. Kitchen and recreation room are in the building. You must follow Housing rules. Housing Deposit: $200.00 (refundable at time of move-out, less the cost of any damages or excessive cleaning) Housing Rent: No rent. FREE housing for qualifying employees. To qualify for free rent, you must work all your scheduled hours each week (no absences). If you do not work all your weekly scheduled hours, you will forfeit the free housing offer that week and must pay $75.00 per week rent. Transportation: Walk to work (housing is on-site)
