Professional Painter
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented professional painter to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, extensive knowledge of surface preparation, application techniques, and finishes, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results. You will be responsible for preparing, priming, and painting interior and exterior surfaces on residential and commercial projects while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching holes, and removing old paint or wallpaper.
Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Mix and match paints and stains to achieve desired colors and textures.
Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths and masking tape to prevent damage or overspray.
Inspect finished surfaces to ensure uniformity, smoothness, and proper coverage.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a tidy workspace.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines and project standards.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Qualifications
Minimum 35 years of professional painting experience (residential or commercial).
Strong understanding of paint types, surface preparation, and finishing techniques.
Ability to read blueprints or work orders and follow project specifications.
Excellent attention to detail and steady hand coordination.
Must have reliable transportation and basic painting tools.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Skills
Experience with spray painting and specialty finishes (e.g., faux, texture, epoxy).
Knowledge of drywall repair and minor carpentry.
OSHA or safety certification is a plus.
