Payment Poster
We are seeking an experienced Payment Poster. The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of Payment Posting and have the necessary skills to post all payments and adjustments, review insurance and patient payments, ensure accuracy, and post to patient accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
Accurately enter payment and adjustment data into patient account from electronic remittance (ERA) and paper EOB while understanding insurance and contract rules.
Balancing and reconciling payments posted in the system.
Performs periodic and month-end balancing and reporting activities. This individual will maintain supporting documentation and reports for payments and deposits in the designated files.
Follow regulations, guidelines and policies and procedures for billing multiple insurance lines.
Who You Are
Must have at least 3 years of medical payment posting experience with knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, HMO's, Commercial and third-party payer guidelines.
Prior customer service experience
Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of medical billing, coding and collections
Knowledge of Gemms, DClaim and Zirmed a plus.
CPC certification a plus
Payment Posting: 2 years
Hours 8:30 am 5 pm Monday Friday
