Senior HR Generalist
JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Senior HR Generalist to join our growing team. The HR Generalist will be primarily responsible for providing human resources support and services to the Pataskala door facility. Principle duties and responsibilities include promoting and developing positive employee relations by providing direct HR support to the door manufacturing facility, resolving and addressing all employee questions and concerns by partnering with plant leadership team and HR Shared Services, assisting plant leaders with the management of corrective action to drive performance and adherence to company policy, conducting policy reviews and trainings during monthly plant meetings to ensure understanding and compliance, facilitating employee communications to ensure clarity and understanding, supporting plant operations with the management of a staffing plan for hourly workforce, assisting HR Manager with broader Pataskala area HR responsibilities, participating in corporate projects and initiatives, and other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, skills, abilities include an intense focus on customer service, strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a diverse group of employees, and must be comfortable developing and conducting group presentations to employees. Education and experience include a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, 2 - 5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, and experience handling and resolving a wide range of employee relations issues.
