Your Role on the Team
Position Summary
The Administrative Nursing Operations Manager provides operational leadership and oversight of workforce functions across two hospital campuses. This role is responsible for leading house supervisors, the staffing office, and discharge lounge operations, ensuring effective coordination of resources to support safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. The nurse manager directs workforce planning and execution, including partnership with Managed Service Providers (MSPs). The role is accountable for optimizing labor utilization, managing costs, and maintaining appropriate staffing levels across the system. Additionally, collaborates closely with nursing leadership, operations and administrative teams to align organizational priorities. The manager will drive process improvement, promote operational efficiency, and ensure compliant and effective workforce operations that support both patient care excellence and organizational performance.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications
Strong skills in conflict resolution, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Strong customer service orientation as well as written and oral communication skills
Minimum 3 years recent nursing management experience in a healthcare delivery system, specifically in an inpatient/acute care setting
Knowledge of JCAHO and other regulatory requirements present in an acute care setting
Demonstrated understanding of clinical service lines in an acute care setting
Complete understanding of acuity levels for all patient populations
All external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Nursing or similar graduate degree
Demonstrated House Supervisor experience
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Nurse
Pediatric Advanced Life Support
Basic Life Support
Advanced Cardiac Life Support
