What You’ll Do
Manage / supervise all Bureau Agents who perform criminal and administrative investigations
Assist the Bureau Administrator plan, develop, and administer investigative strategies and case work
Plan and participate in training sessions necessary for the agents to maintain their investigative skills and POST certification
Assign and review all investigative reports completed by the investigators
Conduct some investigations as directed
Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
Four or more years of professional experience in law enforcement, as well as knowledge of business administration, management and state government administration
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Criminal Justice or related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Current Missouri Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) License will be a requirement upon hire. Job offer will be dependent upon ability to obtain active POST certification prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications
Leadership and management skills of diverse and complex operations, including strategic planning
Proven experience in supervision of law enforcement personnel
Ability to develop and utilize data to evaluate and measure performance and deliverables
Knowledge of Missouri laws, regulations, and the criminal justice system
Knowledge of Missouri state government agencies and programs
Experience with coordinating law enforcement investigations with state and local agencies
Experience with courtroom testimony
Experience, knowledge, or background in motor vehicle, taxation, or interstate commerce is a plus
