Overview
The Captain / Maitre D’ leads front‑of‑house service and plays a key role in delivering an elevated guest experience. The position oversees daily service operations, maintains a polished and professional presence, and works closely with the team to ensure seamless execution in a refined, fast‑paced environment. This role functions as the lead Maitre D’ and requires flexibility, including the ability to cross‑train as a bartender to support service needs. Open availability is required.

Key Responsibilities

Lead by example with strong guest relations and professionalism.

Oversee and support a small front‑of‑house team in an intimate service setting.

Manage inventory counts, ordering, and invoice processing.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

Strong leadership skills with a proactive, solutions‑oriented approach.

Excellent communication skills and guest‑facing professionalism.

Ability to manage both service execution and operational responsibilities.

Familiarity with OpenTable and POS systems (Tabit or Toast preferred), with willingness to learn new systems.

Ability to travel to NYC for approximately one week of training; accommodations provided.
