MEP Project Manager – Data Center Group
We are currently seeking an MEP Project Manager for our Data Center Group located in Goodyear, AZ.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) scopes for large-scale data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and turnover.
Coordinate design development, constructability reviews, and clash detection with design teams, consultants, and trade partners.
Oversee installation of critical systems including power distribution, UPS, generators, switchgear, chilled water, CRAHs/CRACs, fire protection, and BMS/EPMS.
Manage MEP schedules, phasing plans, and work sequencing to align with overall project milestones and commissioning requirements.
Lead subcontractor procurement, scope leveling, contract administration, and performance management.
Drive quality control, QA/QC processes, and compliance with mission- critical standards and specifications.
Monitor budgets, cost forecasting, change management, and value engineering for MEP scopes.
Lead commissioning planning, functional testing, integrated systems testing (IST), and turnover documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, site logistics constraints, and operational continuity requirements.
Coordinate owner training, O&M manuals, as-builts, attic stock, and closeout documentation.
Interface directly with owners, operators, AHJs, and commissioning agents.
Identify and mitigate technical risks related to redundancy, resiliency, and system reliability.
Support preconstruction activities including budgeting, constructability input, and trade engagement.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience managing MEP scopes on complex commercial, industrial, or mission- critical projects (data centers strongly preferred).
Strong working knowledge of electrical distribution systems, mechanical cooling infrastructure, and mission- critical redundancy architectures.
Proven ability to lead cross- functional teams in fast- paced, high- reliability environments.
Experience with commissioning processes, integrated testing, and critical systems turnover.
