As an SDE 2 - QA, you are a software engineer responsible for building scalable automation solutions and ensuring the reliability of both backend services and user-facing applications.
Responsibilities
Design and develop automation for backend services, REST APIs, and web applications.
Build and maintain scalable test frameworks and automation infrastructure.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure quality across microservices and product features.
Contribute to automation, debugging, and engineering improvements across the development lifecycle.
Continuously write code for automation, service validation, and product quality improvements.
Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks for REST APIs, backend services, and web applications.
Build automated tests for API validation, service integrations, and data workflows.
Develop web automation tests using Playwright, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
Create and maintain test strategies, test plans, and automated regression suites.
Validate microservices interactions, API contracts, and end-to-end system behavior.
Collaborate with developers to ensure strong test coverage and quick resolution of defects.
Perform debugging, log analysis, and root cause investigation for system issues.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
Continuously improve automation frameworks, tools, and testing processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in automation engineering or software development roles.
Strong coding skills in Java or JavaScript.
Hands‑on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or equivalent web automation frameworks.
Experience working with REST APIs and API automation tools such as Postman, REST-assured, or similar frameworks.
Understanding of backend architectures, microservices, and service integrations.
Basic familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting.
Experience working in Agile environments and modern SDLC practices.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
Strong collaboration and communication skills when working with cross‑functional engineering teams.
