
Designer/Estimator (ENH)

Overview
The Landscape Enhancement Designer position is responsible for designing, estimating, and coordinating production for the Installation Department, as well as supporting administrative and management functions as directed by the Lead Designer.
Design/Estimating Responsibilities
Generate designs and estimates for enhancing existing properties in coordination with account managers, landscape architects, and clients.
Use Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams, to communicate and collaborate on projects.
Design through Vectorworks, Adobe Photoshop AI, and other software to create graphics for client presentations.
Create cost and time estimates using BOSS LM.
Propose, estimate, and design projects for Bland Landscaping, focusing on Commercial Grounds Management, Estate Gardening Installation, and New Construction Installation.
Attend on‑site meetings and conduct evaluations when necessary.
Track job performance and gather feedback on design and functionality of installed projects.

Requirements
Minimum 40‑hour work week.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks.
Adherence to Bland Landscaping policy and procedures.
Valid NC driver’s license with a good driving record.
Criminal background check required.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Capability to work independently.
Computer skills for design, estimation, and proposal development.
Horticultural knowledge of Southeast Region plants, site assessment skills, and ability to select appropriate plants for different situations.
Experience
2‑ or 4‑year degree in horticulture or a related field.
Preferred minimum of three years landscape design experience.
