Sodexo Campus Dining is seeking a Retail Manager 3 to join our dynamic team at SUNY Oneonta in Oneonta, NY. This mid‑sized public university serves approximately 6,500 students and is consistently recognized for academic excellence and value.
In partnership with Oneonta Auxiliary Services (OAS), Sodexo has proudly supported campus dining since 1999 as a showcase account. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead within a vibrant, high‑volume dining program that includes residential dining, retail venues, catering, and a full‑service bakery.
What You'll Do
Lead and oversee daily operations across multiple retail dining locations, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency
Supervise and develop frontline teams, including unionized staff and student employees
Drive an exceptional customer experience through innovation, engagement, and service excellence
Manage food production processes including menu execution, ordering, inventory, and food safety compliance
Ensure adherence to all Sodexo standards, branded concepts, and regulatory requirements (HACCP, safety, quality assurance, EcoSure)
Support financial performance through cost controls, labor management, and operational efficienciesCollaborate with campus partners and clients to enhance dining programs and maintain strong relationships
Implement continuous improvement initiatives and communicate operational goals to the team

What You Bring
Experience in retail dining, food service, or hospitality management—preferably in a high‑volume or campus environment
Strong leadership skills with experience managing diverse teams, including unionized employees
A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and enhancing the student dining experience
Solid understanding of food safety standards, compliance, and operational best practices
Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor, and food costs
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong client and team relationships
A hands‑on, collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development and engagement
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience: 2 Years
Minimum Functional Experience: 1 year of work experience in concessions, retail sales, or store operations
