PPAP Coordinator - Hybrid
Location: Chesterfield, MI, United States
The Job
As a Quality PPAP Coordinator, you’ll primarily be responsible for support and coordination as well as the implementation of PPAPs, ensuring alignment with quality programs and systems. Lead the consistent application of PPAPs and ensure they conform to customer requirements. Work under direct supervision, performing routine but varied duties in accordance with standard procedures. Some independent judgement and knowledge of related operations may be required.
Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and maintain all PPAP documentation, including FMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, Dimensional Results, Material Certifications, and Appearance Approval Reports.
Ensure all PPAP packages comply with IATF 16949 and specific OEM/customer requirements.
Collaborate with engineering, production, and supplier quality teams to gather and validate PPAP documentation.
Communicate proactively with automotive customers and management regarding PPAP status, requirements, and approvals.
Operate computer hardware and software related to PPAP data collection and determination of product quality and process capability.
Maintain accurate PPAP records and support internal and external audits, including customer, supplier, and OEM audits.
Gather and report monthly PPAP status reports.
The Person

High school education with some technical training in quality disciplines.
3+ years of experience within Automotive Quality Systems and manufacturing with direct PPAP and APQP involvement in the following areas: PPAP experience is required.
Knowledge of basic Quality Assurance Standards (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, Core Tools).
Strong computer skills (Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite).
Ability to read blueprints and understand technical customer specifications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented and able to complete paperwork with zero errors.
Ability to interact effectively with team members, management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers.
