Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector / QA Technician to join a well‑established manufacturing operation known for producing highly engineered metal components used across critical industries.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in manufacturing quality who enjoys working hands‑on with inspection equipment, driving process improvements, and ensuring products meet strict engineering and customer standards.
What You’ll Do
Perform part inspections using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T to verify product conformance
Conduct dimensional layouts, capability studies, and quality analysis
Support and maintain quality systems, including ISO compliance and audit readiness
Execute and support PPAP, APQP, FMEA, and ISIR processes
Investigate nonconformances, customer complaints, and RMAs
Implement and track corrective actions to improve quality performance
Maintain documentation control and calibration programs for inspection equipment
Utilize SPC tools and Excel for reporting and analysis
What We’re Looking For
Required
3–5+ years of experience in quality inspection or a related role
Background in manufacturing (forging, steel, or machining environments)
Strong knowledge of quality systems and ISO standards
Hands‑on experience with PPAP, FMEA, APQP, and GD&T
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Experience performing dimensional studies and capability analysis
Proficiency with inspection tools and measurement equipment
Experience managing corrective actions and quality investigations
Not Required
Experience with SPC software
Strong Excel and data analysis skills

Competitive hourly pay: $25–$28/hour (up to $32/hour based on experience)
Contract‑to‑hire opportunity (6 months) with long‑term potential
