
Overnight Stocking Manager - East Detroit Market

Location Requirements
We require overnight stocking managers to travel to or be placed at any of the following store locations in the East Detroit Market:
Grand River Ave – Detroit, MI
Van Dyke Ave – Sterling Heights, MI
Royal Oak, MI
W 8 Mile Rd – Detroit, MI
Roselle, MI
Shelby Twp, MI
23 Mile Rd – Chesterfield, MI
Fraser, MI
Madison Heights, MI
Warren, MI
Clinton Twp, MI
Warren, MI – Schoenherr
Responsibilities
Engage with team members in span of care to ensure appropriate onboarding, training, development, coaching, and feedback.
Identify talent and conduct career discussions to support overall store staffing and achieve a diversified talent pipeline strategy.
Conduct candid discussions with team members to uphold Meijer standards and provide growth opportunities.
Accountable for area operations and financial results by overseeing execution of corporate plans, maximizing sales and productivity, and owning budget line items in the P&L.
Drive safety and compliance throughout the store, manage overall condition, and follow all compliance procedures.
Ensure Team Leaders and Leads provide guidance, assign daily work assignments, and address training needs.
Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4+ years of retail/grocery or customer service experience.
Progressive leadership experience preferred.
Passion to provide industry‑leading service.
Strong communication skills with clear and precise direction.
Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.
Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times.
Proactive and creative thinking applied to business.
Understanding of seasonal and diverse merchandising to meet customer needs, gain sales, and market share.
Strong business acumen.
Innovative attitude to help Meijer set industry standards.
