Guard and patrol, on foot or by vehicle, controlled and limited security areas.
Protect persons, property, and security information against hazards such as fire, espionage, trespass, theft, and accidental or willful.
Ensure buildings are secure and there are no safety or security deficiencies and initiate the proper action to correct problems.
Assist local authorities in the event of an emergency situation by setting up roadblocks, investigate accidents, enforce motor vehicle regulations, and direct traffic.
Monitor the radio networks, maintain logs of patrol and events happening during shift.
Utilize extraordinary security measures and special knowledge and skills to protect arms and ammunition and other materials potentially hazardous to the health and safety of the public.
