Continuous Improvement Supervisor

The Continuous Improvement Supervisor will report to the Operational Excellence group, specifically the Amazon pillar. Responsible for the Continuous Improvement (CI) scope of work (process oversight and improvement, coaching, training, reporting), the position aims to promote the success of CI implemented projects and initiatives at the facility at which the Supervisor would be based at.
Responsibilities

Operational Oversight: Collaborate with facility management and staff to identify operational challenges and provide recommendations for improvement.
Leading Continuous Improvement Projects: Initiate, manage, and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma, 5S activities, Gemba walks, and other process improvement tools. Develop and execute improvement plans aimed at increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste. Measure and report on improvement project outcomes, ensuring goals are met and sustained. Identify the root cause of problems and develop corrective actions.
Team Engagement & Training: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by educating team members on CI principles and methodologies. Provide training and coaching to team members on continuous improvement methodologies and tools. Communicate and manage change effectively to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and present findings to stakeholders. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of improvement initiatives. Prepare and present reports on continuous improvement progress, challenges, and successes to station stakeholders and regional management.
Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure improvement initiatives support and enhance workplace safety and compliance with applicable regulations. Participate in regular safety and quality audits, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Minimum Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in continuous improvement, process optimization, or operational roles, preferably in an air cargo or logistics environment. Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (Green Belt certification preferred) Proven ability to lead improvement projects from inception to completion with measurable results (project management experience a plus). Working knowledge of CI tools such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and Root Cause Analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Visio) is a plus.
Preferred Skills

Bachelor's degree in operations management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Strong analytical skills problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and metrics. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Occasionally move about inside the office to access filing cabinets, office machinery, etc. Reach above and/or below the shoulder. Lift/carry/move objects, files, and documents up to 25 pounds. Work in an office environment using standard office equipment. Maintain regular and punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures, rain, wind and snow Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout the duration of the shift
